October 2007: Looking out my window one morning, I saw a Cooper's Hawk
using my weather station post as a perch.
August 2007: A mother bear I saw in Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
There was a cub nearby, but I did not get any good photos of it.
July 2005: A Summer Tanager (or at least I think it is --
please E-Mail if I identified this bird incorrectly). I saw this bird at my
Scout Troop's summer camp (near Richmond, Virginia) the morning after
a tropical depression dumped 2 or 3 inches of rain on the camp.
1997 (?): A stag I saw at Point Reys National Seashore, California.
